A Special Field for Little League Baseball

Children deserve quality resources to learn and grow. Unfortunately the Frankfort, IN park athletic facilities were outdated and in desperate need of repair. The youth of the community were being underserved with their existing facilities.

Parents of league athletes joined the Board of Little Leagues to strategize making the much needed improvements a reality. A fundraising strategy was implemented and Royal United Mortgage LLC provided resources to update the Frankfort little league baseball field.

The main goal was to provide professional batting cages so that coaches could make the best use of time with the team. They also needed to rebuild the existing field from scratch, which has now been completed. There are continuing improvements that are being made to a second field including:  new dugouts, bleachers, batting cage, infield, fencing, and irrigation. The vision has been realized and is making a significant impact on the community.

The 2016 season leagues consist of 17 teams, approximately 170 players ages 4 to 12, and approximately 40 volunteer coaches. The league promotes friendly competition, education, teamwork and community involvement through youth sports.

Royal United Mortgage LLC Field is located in Frankfort, IN at Eastside Park (Lawrence Ferrell Park) on N Fudge Ave. The kids and parents who saw the field for first time were amazed and the smiles made it all worthwhile. When you think about a small 14,000 person community that does not believe things like this are even possible, it makes it even better! The community is extremely excited about the progress.
