Apple Stuffing

Thanksgiving is next week and this year Royal United Mortgage wants to help you create your Thanksgiving menu. For the second consecutive year, our employees shared their favorite Thanksgiving recipes. To help with your planning, we want to share some of these recipes with you! This week’s recipe, of Apple Stuffing, is from Erin Lawson.

This is a basic recipe spiced up with the addition of chopped apples. It is a delicious stuffing recipe for your holiday dinner table.

Serves: 6

Time to Prepare:

Prep: 5 minutes

Cooking: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

• 1 small apple chopped
• 2 celery stalks chopped
• ¼ cup chopped onion
• 1 package Stovetop chicken stuffing
• 1 ½ cups chicken broth
• 4 tablespoons butter

Directions:

• Sauté apple, onion, celery, and butter in a saucepan over medium heat until tender (about 5 minutes)
• Add chicken broth to the pan and bring to a boil
• Stir in stuffing mix; cover. Remove from heat.
