Austin Office Boys and Girls Club Cookout

When 50 kids and 20 adults (who like to be big kids) get together for a summer bash, you know FUN is the theme of the day.

Fun is what our team in Austin delivered up to the kids at the Austin Boys and Girls club yesterday as the team came together to close out summer. Whether gathering around the grill for hot dogs and hamburgers, playing tug of war or being involved in an epic water balloon fight our crew had a great day with some amazing kids.

Royal United Mortgage has an excellent relationship with our partners at the Boys and Girls Club. We believe that helping others, and especially children, goes a great distance. The Boys and Girls Club of Austin helps give children ages 6 through 18 opportunity, and growth abilities they otherwise wouldn’t have. They sponsor after school activities, and events like this one!

Jacob Jackson, a Loan Advisor in the Austin office had this to say about the event “The excitement beaming from the kids was a wonderful experience in itself.  As we left I heard one of the Boys and Girls Club employees yell ‘Volunteers of the year’.

Our whole staff bonded and had a great time for an even greater cause.  We are all ready for our next event!  After nearly 200 snow cones served, 600+ water balloons popped, and prizes galore, I’m positive the kids are as well!”
