Cystic Fibrosis Golf Outing
Many of our employees love to play golf! Recently, they got to enjoy a round of golf while raising $484 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was founded in 1955 by a group of parents whose mission is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatment and ensuring access to high-quality, specialized care.
The employees of Royal United Mortgage LLC, are always coming up with fun ways to raise money for charities they are passionate about. “I felt it was a great opportunity to spend time with guys outside my specific team at Royal, to have a chance at beating Mike Keleher (President and CEO of Royal United Mortgage LLC) at golf and to donate to a great cause as well,” said Loan Advisor, Kam Logan.
Some of the highlights of the day included;
• Rob Williams winning the putt challenge
• Kam Logan winning the longest drive challenge
• Nick Edwards winning the closest to the pin challenge
• Team Jared Shore winning the day with an overall score of -13
Events like this are always a great way to get to know your coworkers and give back to a great charity. “Working with people every day you get to know them pretty well but everyone is a touch different outside of the office so that interaction is a great way to build relationships,” said VP of Purchase Division, Nick Edwards. “The fact that it benefitted charity is icing on the cake.”
“I encourage more Royal United Mortgage LLC employees to get involved with things like this,” said Loan Advisor Development Manager, Rob Williams. “It’s good to know your co-workers outside of work and it’s good for your heart knowing your time and/or money are going to help other people.”
