It’s Always About People

In our efforts to communicate with you, we often pick a dry subject: the definition of a mortgage, the difference between a refinance and a new home loan, home-to-loan value, credit score, rates and a variety of other pertinent, albeit objective topics. All are important to be sure; you can’t have too much knowledge of something so important.

But let’s be honest with each other, you don’t choose one mortgage company over another because of bare-boned facts. By law, there are many restrictions as to what a lender can and can’t do; rates have some variance but are largely driven by the government as are qualifiers such as credit scores.

So does it really make any difference which mortgage company you choose? Of course it does…it’s about the people. You’re putting your trust, your investment and quite often your future in the hands of someone you just met. You have to have confidence that the Loan Advisor (LA) you are working with is a competent professional and, equally important, has your best interests at heart.

How do you know when you’ve found such a person? The simple answer is – you just know it.

Truly caring for a customer’s needs and wanting to help them achieve their goals is not a learned behavior. It’s not something taught in a training class or seminar. It’s not something that can be easily faked – it’s there or it isn’t.

At Royal United Mortgage LLC we give our Loan Advisors the finest technical training available in the industry. A person can’t join our company without becoming a highly competent advisor for the customer; but they can’t stay with our company unless they care about them.
