Royal United Mortgage LLC’s Backpack Attack

Recently, Royal United Mortgage LLC had an opportunity to support a great cause. Volunteers from the company set aside time to stuff backpacks to help children in need. The project was organized by our partner School on Wheels.

Royal United Mortgage LLC volunteers were able to help 109 children return to school with bright smiles on their faces wearing brand new backpacks stocked full of school supplies. Not only were we able to provide backpacks, but we also raised enough money to be able to supply 22 children with uniforms, something they are in desperate need of. Each child will receive two pairs of pants, two shirts, and a belt.

School on Wheels’ mission is to provide one-on-one tutoring and education advocacy for school-aged children impacted with homelessness. In the 2014/2015 school year, they were able to provide 7,774 one hour tutoring sessions and serve 363 homeless children. For more information, please visit their website.
